YOU’VE BEEN EGGED: EASTER FUNDRAISER
Thanks to Laurie Juarez for sharing this Great Idea through Building Faith.
Laurie Juarez turned the Easter egg hunt tradition into a community-building, intergenerational outreach fundraiser, “You’ve Been Egged”, which in this case means filled Easter eggs haver been hidden in your yard or left at your door as a surprise from someone else.
It’s not too complicated and has big returns in both bonding and spreading the joy.
Juarez gives a simple yet thorough outline of the steps to take, how to engage multiple and intergenerational volunteers, keeping things simple and clear on delivery dates, and ways to build the community-wide event into a fundraiser. She even concludes with ways to keep things more environmentally friendly.
Invite the community to support other local organizations by combining this Great Idea with “Reinvent Your Easter Egg Hunt“: simply include a Good Sam Buck (of any amount) in one of the delivered/hidden eggs and encourage its recipient to ‘pay it forward’ by donating that amount to one of your Reinvented Easter Egg Hunt recipient organizations.
This is truly a Great Idea!! Enjoy it here.
