Every Wednesday at 12:00/noon CST the Ministry Lab offers a zoom Midweek Retreat: a Contemplative Practice to revive the spirit and renew the soul. Practitioners of all levels are invited to participate.
If you are new to Contemplative Prayer, contact Rev. Emily Meyer, The Ministry Lab’s executive director. Emily is certified by Shalem Institute as a contemplative prayer small group and retreat leader and will gladly guide you through what to expect and how to participate.
A rough general outline of our time is as follows:
12:00 – Check-in
12:10 – Stretch
12:15 – Introduction to the practice
12:20 – Silence
12:30 – Rest & reflection
12:35 – Sharing (for those who feel moved to do so)
12:45 – Conclusion
Email reminders, with an introduction to the week’s practice, are sent Wednesday morning. Sign-up to receive weekly invitations!
We hope you’ll join us for this midweek opportunity for rest and renewal.
This Week’s Practice
As we journey toward Easter, we practice being open and receptive to the New Life the Spirit is generating within and around us.
March 3: Allowing the senses to be alert.
March 10: Allowing the body to be awake.
March 17: Allowing the heart to be welcoming.
March 24: Allowing the mind to be attentive.
March 31: Allowing the soul to be opened.
If you are interested in joining Midweek Retreat, send an email of request here.
