Open Up!!

Thanks to Jen Bach for sharing this Great Idea!

Jen writes,

‘…[P]eople are talking about how they can’t find meeting spaces for their activism groups: the libraries are filling up, and the library spaces are often not large enough. I mentioned to one of them that I was connected with some churches, and they wanted more information.

Clark-Grace was a part of Love MN, a cohort of churches who want to use their church spaces for our communities and for rentals. Flourish Placemaking Collective helped organize it. Flourish made a spreadsheet of churches, so that we can share the link with people who want to rent/use church spaces. I was thinking of sharing this Love MN link with meeting organizers:

[Would] any of you or your colleagues… like to be added to this spreadsheet…?’

If you got space and are willing to open up to activist groups, folx are looking!

GREAT community outreach, community building, and solidarity.

Rise & Repair meets at Christ on Capitol Hill Lutheran Church every year for their Rally Day (mid-March) – because the church is across the street from Capitol buildings.

It’s a thing churches do – why not open your church up??
