Good Shepherd Lutheran began ‘Meet an Older Friend’ about eight years ago. The intent, ‘has always been to help connect young Confirmation students with older members of the congregation – to hear their wisdom, learn about their faith journey together and share stories… [and for] students to hear affirmations and love from the adults. Both students and adults have so much to offer and receive from one another.’
Budding relationships are presenting themselves in other parts of congregational life, including ushering together and becoming Prayer Pals.
