Moral Mondays
This is far more than a Great Idea. It is the powerful, essential, hopeful example of The Save America Movement and Repairers of the Breach for Moral Mondays.
Do we have it in us to follow this example?
Do we have leaders in the North who appreciate the peril and trauma of these times?
I know we do because many of our leaders – across the state – are already on this road.
Can we unite our congregations in a show of solidarity, strength, and commitment to moral policies and just governance?
I know we can because many of our leaders across the state are already developing relationships and partnerships across what historically have been denominational and secular divides.
Thank you and blessings to those working through fatigue and fear to build up a moral cry for justice in local congregations and communities. This is essential work in these days of terror and fear, policies that kill, and the overthrow of democracy and so many institutions.
This is why Jesus called the church into existence. This is precisely why: so that we would have one another. So we can support and comfort one another and the vulnerable in our midst.
So that together, we can raise a voice that cannot be drowned out or dismissed.
